How does the analytics work?

Registration of new user of extension

We provide analytics of Active users and downloads for our partners and for our extensions. So anytime a user downloads and install the extension, it will automatically get an unique GUID , which looks similar to this: a576d785-b2d3-4534-81a2-2692f74108dc

GUID (or UUID) is an acronym for 'Globally Unique Identifier' (or 'Universally Unique Identifier'). It is a 128-bit integer number used to identify resources. The term GUID is generally used by developers working with Microsoft technologies, while UUID is used everywhere else. The GUID is completely randomally assigned to the extension.

Check for update

Once a week an extension is checking for updates for configurations file to our servers.
