Firefox 15 – Responsive tool, Layout view (Part 2)

The Debugger for JavaScript was integrated into other tools for web developers. Moreover there is also a new tool called Responsive Mode and the well known Inspector gain very useful function, which is Layout Mode.

As we said in the Part 1, the most updates bring Firefox 15 for web developers, or the developers of the web pages.  The Debugger for JavaScript was integrated into other tools for web developers. Moreover there is also a new tool called Responsive Mode and the well known Inspector gain very useful function, which is Layout Mode.

The Responsive Mode function works great for the website developers when controlling the appearance of the website, in various settings of display, specifically the resolution. The simulation of other display resolution isn’t made by the change of the window size, as the other tools does it, but the simulation is made inside the window without the change of the window size.

Responsive mode tool for web developers allows you to simulate the webpage in different resolution of the display. The tool is also thinking on the landscape and portrait orientation of the display.

Also you can switch the weight and height of the webpage and then you can simulate the different display orientation (Landscape, portrait). This is handy mainly when optimizing the webpage for mobile devices, which automatically adjust the image to the actual position of the device.

Even better is the new function of web inspector called Layout View. This function allows you to mark the chosen part of the web and find out all the information that you need for solving layout problems. The web developers can see not only dimensions of the selected element, but also specified indentation, margin or frame without examining the CSS code.

The information is presented in clear and organized form, which means that you can easily find an element that scatters the intended layout. With the combination of this and the Responsive mode tool, Firefox has now more or less everything important, you need for optimizing the layout for different resolutions, finding the causes of such problems as simulation of lower resolution.

The Layout view gives the web developers detailed information about selected elements in the webpage, required for layout changes. These details are shown in clear interface.
